Position Overview:
As a casual Residential Support Worker with Edmen, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people on remand. You'll help create a safe, respectful, and stable home environment, supporting them to meet bail conditions, make positive life choices, and reconnect with their communities.

Shift times (these may vary):
AM: 0830-1630 / 0730-1515
PM: 1500-2200 / 1500-2300
NS: 2200-0600  

Our rosters are done in advance, which grants you some stability working in a casual environment. We also have emergency and ad hoc shifts available each week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and support young people with daily routines, life skills, and compliance with bail conditions
  • Facilitate recreational, cultural, and wellbeing activities
  • Provide safe and respectful transport and supervise family visits where appropriate
  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and local stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with the Coordinator to monitor individual plans
What You Need:
✅ Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth Work, AOD or similar qualification
✅ Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher)
✅ WA Working with Children Check
✅ Current First Aid & CPR certificate
✅ Verification of identification by Department of Justice (DOJ)
✅ 3 months paid experience in Youth Work, Corrections or similar position
✅ The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required
