Position Overview - More Than a Shift. A Chance to Make a Difference. As a Casual Residential Youth Worker with HCA, you’ll support children and young people living in out-of-home care, helping them feel safe, supported and valued. We’re looking for compassionate, resilient and reliable Youth Workers who can build trust, navigate challenging situations and make a positive impact.

- Support daily living, including personal care, meals and hygiene.

- Promote emotional regulation, independence and positive social connections.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
- Support complex behaviours using trauma-informed and TCI approaches.
- Complete Trauma Recovery Framework and TCI training within three months.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver individual support plans.
- Prioritise wellbeing through supervision, reflection and self-care.
To join our team, you’ll need:
- Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support Work or similar — or be studying towards one
- Ideally 6+ months’ residential youth work experience or strong transferable skills
- Open Australian Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Police Check
- LCS2 Check - desirable, or willingness to obtain
