Position Overview:
Working as a Youth Worker with Edmen you will be joining a welcoming and supportive team. To make life a little easier for you, we do our rosters in advance, this gives you the flexibility to work part time or full time hours! We also have emergency and ad hoc shifts available each week.
Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships and create a safe, nurturing environment for at-risk youth.
- Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene while encouraging independence.
- Support attendance at school, appointments, and community activities.
- Encourage emotional regulation and social connection through daily activities.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
- Support complex behaviours using trauma-informed and TCI approaches.
To be considered for this Youth Worker role, you’ll need to have (or be open to obtaining) the following:
- Hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support or similar
- 3 months of residential youth work experience or strong transferable skills
- Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher)
Working with Children Check (Blue Card) - Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- Police Check
- LCS2 check (Nice to have or happy to obtain)
