Position Overview — More Than a Shift. A Chance to Make a Difference. In partnership with Dynamic Community Care (DCC), we deliver 24/7 support to young people across residential care, community access, outreach and supervised family contact services.
As a casual Disability Support Worker with HCA, you can make a real difference in the lives of people who are living with a disability in residential, community access, and supported independent living. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living and personal care for individuals with disabilities.
- Create a supportive environment that promotes independence and inclusion.
- Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, and accessing community resources.
- Administer medication, monitor health, and keep accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care teams.
- Respond to emergencies, uphold confidentiality, and provide emotional support.
✅ Hold an Australian Certificate III or higher in Disabilities, Community Services, Individual Support, Mental Health or similar
✅ Qld Drivers License (P1 or higher)
✅ Comprehensive Car insurance and Car Registration
✅ NDIS Worker Check (Yellow Card)
✅ Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
✅ Current First Aid & CPR certificate
✅ National Police Check
✅ Medications and Manual handling experience
✅ 3 month minimum experience in the industry preferred
✅ The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required
